What does the role look like?

The Application Support Specialist will be a crucial member of the Banbury Digital Operations Team, responsible for providing essential support for the Business Digital Operational Tools/Systems. This role involves assisting with various business systems such as ERP, MES, and PLM to ensure seamless business process operations.

Additionally, the specialist will play a key role in facilitating the implementation and rollout of corporate digital solutions. The position demands strong problem-solving skills to address business requirements, either within existing legacy tools or by offering alternative solutions within our scope.

What will your day-to-day responsibilities look like?

• Provide Business Process Operator support.

• Maintain strong customer relations with internal stakeholders.

• Work with external vendors to resolve system-related business issues.

• Liaise and collaborate with support teams across Actuation Systems and Enterprise DT.

• Drive process excellence.

• Develop best practice solutions for key processes and support new process implementation by leading or working within multifunctional teams to deliver business improvements.

• Implement best practice processes through standard work, user training, and coaching.

• Ensure a high level of system 5S by working with users to correct master data, aged transactions, and bad transactions.

• Optimize the use of SAP by extending the use of existing system functionality.

• Work within the ACE structure to achieve sustained improvement within the Digital Operations team.

• Previous functional experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Proficient problem-solving abilities, with a strong focus on problem anticipation.

• Thorough understanding of the company’s business processes, coupled with strong analytical skills.

Desirable skills:

• Demonstrated proficiency in digital applications.

• Experience as a current system user or in business process technical support.

• Exceptional planning and organizing abilities, with meticulous attention to detail and data accuracy.

• Proficiency in VBA/.NET programming principles, and/or other programming principles is highly desirable.

• Ability to create and modify SQL statements, with proficient use of SSMS.

• Strong collaboration skills across functions and value streams.

• Capacity to make decisions under time constraints.

• Outstanding team player exhibiting flexibility and a proactive approach.

• Balanced skill set encompassing both driving initiatives and executing tasks.

• Self-motivated and proactive attitude.
